RIP Mainstream Media

Unbeknownst to many, we lost an old friend at 8:55 ET last night. But it was sort of like your great uncle dying; he was old, senile, and starting to make things up, so it’s probably good he went. RIP mainstream media.

Trump ditched the FOX Republican debate last night to sit down with former FOX News anchor Tucker Carlson (boss move, Tucker). The interview racked up 74 million views in the first hour. As of the time of writing, the interview has 174 million views. For context, the 2016 Clinton/Trump debate, the most viewed presidential debate in history, saw a viewership of 84 million.

While these stats alone are mind-boggling, the context makes them borderline absurd. We’re talking about Tucker Carlson, who was fired by Fox News only a few months ago and then took to Twitter (now ‘X’) to launch an independent media outlet. This is the same Twitter that permanently suspended Trump from the platform on January 8, 2021, in what was arguably one of the greatest violations of free speech in history. And Trump? The guy has been indicted four times now and is set to be arrested in Georgia today. No one saw this interview coming.

Why it Matters

Last night’s interview accelerated a trend that’s been steadily progressing over the past few years. Trust in mainstream media is so low that half of Americans believe news organizations deliberately mislead them. We’ll continue to see Americans ditch their TVs and newspapers for independent journalism on platforms like X. Let’s just say it’s not a coincidence that What Got Censored is publishing its first issue today. 😉

This trend has traditional media shaking in their boots. According to a Fox News whistleblower, the network went so far as to ban the very mention of Tucker Carlson’s interview with Trump.

It gets weirder. Per Fox News, Media covering last night’s Republican debate can only share up to 3 minutes of footage, thus hindering voters from accessing critical news while pushing Trump further ahead in the polls.

🇺🇸 Vivek Ramaswamy stole the show in a GOP primary debate that was otherwise a clown car crash. It was Vivek VS. everyone else last night, and he stood his ground well. The best line of the night? “I'm the only person on the stage who isn't bought and paid for. So I can say this: the climate change agenda is a hoax. The climate change agenda is a hoax… and the reality is the anti-carbon agenda is the wet blanket on our economy.”

👨🏼‍💼 Rudy Giuliani surrenders to Fulton County jail, championing defense of Americans' rights. “Enemies of our republic were destroying rights, sacred rights,” said Guiliani in a press conference outside the jail. “They're destroying my right to counsel, my right to be a lawyer. They're destroying his right to counsel. It's not accidental that they've indicted all as lawyers. Never heard of that before in America…Whether you dislike or you like Donald Trump, let me give you a warning: it's gonna come for you when the political winds shift, as they always do; let us pray that Republicans are more honest, more trustworthy, and more American than these people in charge of this government.”

😷 COVID is “back,” but no one is buying it. Mainstream media is urging Americans to “dust off those N95 masks,” but few are taking the bait. In the Sunshine State, Florida lawmakers are brewing up a storm by planning to classify mRNA Covid vaccines as "bio-weapons" and aiming to ban their administration. Meanwhile, Pfizer's former director of global compliance analytics, Frank Han, has spilled the beans by filing a civil complaint against Pfizer. Han alleges he was fired for identifying potential Foreign Corrupt Practices Act issues, claiming Pfizer spent over ten times more on potentially influential government officials in China than in other countries. Between Q2 2019 and Q3 2021, Pfizer's spending on PIGOs in China totaled $168 million, compared to a mere $12 million in the US.

🇺🇦 Sen. Elizabeth Warren re-affirms 'America Last’ stance. Sen. Elizabeth Warren visited Ukraine with Sens. Richard Blumenthal and Lindsey Graham to meet President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, discussing additional support from the United States against the Russian invasion. President Zelenskyy expressed gratitude towards President Biden, Congress, and the American public (don’t thank us) for standing with Ukraine. Biden recently requested $13 billion in emergency defense aid, although the Republican-led House may not approve the spending. The military-industrial complex is alive and well!

Space Lasers Started Maui Fires?

If all the ‘conspiracy theories’ hadn’t turned out to be true, we’d be more skeptical of a story suggesting a giant space laser started the devastating Maui fires. Crazier things have happened. We’ll let you be the judge.

Internet sleuths have a hunch that directed-energy weapons (DEWs) — essentially a giant space started the Maui fires. As evidence of this theory, they point to on-the-ground footage of the wildfire burn sites where various blue items appear untouched by the fires — something to do with laser wavelengths?

The motive? Some say the global elite painted their roofs blue “to block the DEW,” then started the fires to free up some of the most in-demand real estate in the world.

Jury is still out on this one. Either way, things don’t seem quite right.
